Fruits of Our Labor
So as most of you know things here have been uber crazy. Well I am happy to say we are finally finished. And since you all have been so supportive, I'd like you to share in the fruits of our labor. So here are the pictures!
Here is our home from the outside in. I used a slide show via photo bucket because there was like 90 something pictures, and will post this on facebook as well. Let me know your input.
The realtor will come and take their own photos today. The website for them is SanAngeloHomes.com.

33rd Birthday
I just celebrated my 33rd birthday yesterday. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to have any fun with the house under construction and all, and a sore neck, but I had a good birthday despite my worries.
In the morning Jay treated to me with a birthday breakfast of Chocolate Eclair Doughnuts and Dr. Pepper. YUM! Then I went to a scrapbooking workshop with my friend Emma. It was really nice to get away and just craft with friends.
Then in the afternoon I went and had some lunch by myself for some needed alone time. I have been so busy with the house I haven't really taken any of that lately. Then I came home to Jay having done some work here at the house (sweet!) and birthday presents on the table. The kids and Jay got me a Wii cooking game, emergency chocolate, and a WWII novel. I really enjoy historical fiction.
Then to my favorite part, we went fishing and actually caught stuff! By we I mean the family and Emma's family. At first we thought we'd try down on the river. They recently stocked it with Rainbow Trout and that sounded like a yummy dinner. But it was pretty fished out or we were too early cause we caught nothing there.
So we decided we'd move out to the lake. We've caught small sunfish there before and thought that would be better than nothing. So we took the minnows, picked up Emma's husband Andy, and headed for the lake. After Emma and Andy got all their baby stuff set up we started fishing. There wasn't much at first, but as sundown approached the fish began to bite. Emma made the first two catches. Here she is with her fish.
As you can see by the background, we were out way past being able to see our bobbers ("Bobbins" according to Emma (lol).
It was a blast of a birthday and a great start to my 33rd year.

Emma's fish. Is it big enough to eat? We didn't know the rules for the Crappie and Bass so we just caught and released. It was fun once they started biting.
Emma is a big weanie and wouldn't bait or remove the live fish from her hook. I "manned up" and took care of it for her.
I finally caught one. I thought Emma was gonna be the only successful fisher, but after that first one I caught it was like a fishing orgy.
This one jumped off the hook once I brought it up. I was trying to catch it before it died.
Just like the professionals right?!
The kids were too bored to fish for long, so once I hooked one I called them over to reel it in. While we were fishing they were off exploring. Michael found himself some girls. LOL
Open Wide!
Beth was too scared to hold the line on her catch.
That's the provider for our family. Luckily we weren't counting on his catches for our dinner. You may have to zoom in to see his catch. Hahahahaha!

New Carpet
Well over the last week we have been preparing for new carpet in the whole house. Here are the pics!
Preparing the area...where do we put the furniture when the whole house is being re-carpeted? In the kitcen and the garage.
Here is a picture of the old carpet, and a picture of the new.
old
new
Not much difference is there? The new carpet smell made Beth sick so we had to spent the first night in a hotel with a indoor pool to escape the fumes. The kids loved the pool!
Some of the rooms as they were carpeted.
