Today our baby boy turns 7! 7! Seven! SEVEN! No matter how I write it is seven and he is getting older. I wish I could just shrink him and keep him in my pocket forever!
I just can't believe how fast these kids are growing! Here is a brief, but far from complete view (because this post comes to you via my laptop in the base's Temporary Lodging Facility) in pictures of our Josh.
Josh is the sweetest boy and very genuine. He shows real empathy when his friends or family are hurting or sick. He loves to tease and have fun. This year his favorite color is green, his favorite movie is Tom and Jerry, and his favorite food is Macaroni and Cheese and his favorite candy is what our family calls candy mix (reeses pieces, sour patch kids and stick pretzels mixed together). When he grows up he wants to be a chef, a zoo owner, or a builder. He loves to play games inside and out. He has a boys curiosity and must touch everything...especially buttons.
I feel so blessed to have Joshua in my life and to be his mother. He and are simpaticos!
This birthday is a little rough for our Josh because we moved out of our house this weekend and are staying in the hotel on base (TLF) until the 15th. Josh is also sick today and laying around with a barf bucket. So it looks like the pitiful celebration we had planned will be on hold till he gets better. On Friday he is taking some of his friends out to eat at Mr. Gatti's (a Chuck E Cheese like resturaunt) and then later this year all the kids will celebrate at Universal Studios and we will go to the Harry Potter park.
