Emergency Room Visit
Last night we had to take Beth to the ER. She had woken up from her nap yesterday afternoon and was extremely whiny. Well after about an hour of her following me around the house whining I got fed up. I handed her a tissue for her nose and eyes (our princess has to wipe her nose a lot), sat her down in her room and told her she could come out after she was done crying (and after Mommy was able to get her cool back). At around 5:00pm an hour or so after I had put her in her room I went in there because she was awfully quiet. All you moms know how that is. Anyway I found her awake with her tissue tore up into little balls. I didn't think anything of it. well later that night after FHE and right before bedtime I saw a big boogie in her nose. When I pulled it out I realised it was tissue not boogies. After further inspection we realised she had stuffed more in her nose but it was too far up for us to retrieve. The after hours care line was quite amused with our need and sent Jay and Beth to the ER for assistance. She chatted with everyone and told them all about why she was there. But when the moment came to get onto the examination table she panicked. According to Jay the Dr. pulled three more wads out of her nose. Then after examining the other places children like to stick things to make sure she was free of tissue balls they were sent home. The whole visit only took an hour or so. I hope Beth has learned her lesson and that there will not be anymore visits of this nature to the ER.
Gardening
It was transfer time for my little plants.
I can grow zucchini and peas fairly well but I believe anyone can.
Anyway here are some pictures of us working in the garden. It didn't seem like hard work, but I will admit I was quite sore the next day. We hope the plants surrive the transfer process and the Texas sun. It has been in the nineties this week. We all look forward to harvest time.

Great Picture

I seldom take very good pictures and and an ever rarer event is when all the kids are looking into the camara at the same time but her is a photo from an Easter Party that the kids and I are for once coordinated. The only thing that could make this better is to have Jay in it...but someone had to take the picture.

Something Accomplished
Today for the first time in months I feel like I got something accomplished around the house. All of the laundry is put away and I managed to go through all of Beth's old baby clothes and donate them to a friend. Now I have a clean closet...two actually since I cleaned one while I put away the linens.I have really done well at school, but I feel like I am getting a D or even an F here at home and you know what they say about failure in the home.....But today was a good day and I got something done. :)

Feelin' Groovy
The semester is over and finals are out of the way! After about a month of stress and hectic life I can now slow down and appreciate my world. Big love and thanks to friends and family who nursed me through this semseter.
I plan to take it easy this summer. I am going to enjoy playing with the kids, good reads and movies I've had to put off because of school, and puttering in my garden. We are also looking forward to a trip to Wyoming at the end of the summer. What do you all have planned?
To pay tribute to the weight lifted off my shoulders I've added th esong Feelin' Groovy to my play list. Hope you all have a great day!

Finally! Finals Week.
It is finally here. The last tests and then a whole summer of freedom from school....just enough to make me want to be back in the fall. It has been an uphill grind, especially since I look forward to graduation in December. I don't know how those of you with even further education have managed it. Maybe I will figure it out after a few years of enjoying my goal.
