Dear Mom, Thanks

Dear Mom,

Thanks for the assignment to write a paper of our family history in conjunction with the American Civil War. I am really excited about being able to research again. Because of my natural inclination to procrastinate and my guilt to not let you down because I know it is important to you, I have managed to procrastinate without feeling guilty. My whole family was very excited to see that I baked a chocolate cake from scratch. After living in my home since October, I finally put my pictures up on the walls. I cleaned, dusted, and vacuumed my bedroom and Beth's bedroom. All of the laundry is washed folded and put away. I cleaned off my computer desk and re-organized my organization station. All of my Relief Society secretary stuff is finished. I dusted all the furniture downstairs and kept the kitchen and the kitchen counters immaculately clean. All things that need to be done right? Avoidance without guilt. I promise I will get the paper done, by Monday even, and I will get started on it toady as soon as I clean the kitchen, cycle and fold the laundry, clean the tubs, mop the floors, wash the windows, plant the flowers in my front garden, take Josh to speech, and make the kids dinner.

Joshua 8th Birthday Party

Joshua is 8! I know so hard to believe! I really should stop letting these kids grow older, but I am having so much fun being their Mom and watching them turn into wonderful little people. Joshua is so compassionate. He wears his heart on his sleeve. Joshua loves to play jokes on people...especially ones that only he understands. Joshua puts forth great effort to make himself be understood. Joshua loves his family. Joshua just recently lost both front teeth. Joshua wants to grow up to be a policeman and a chef, "Because even cops cook food." Joshua has discovered the joy of reading. Joshua loves to watch Avatar: The Last Air-bender. Joshua is still happy to be my baby boy, but wants so much to be treated like his older brothers. Joshua loves to draw and make origami fortune tellers.

We had Joshua's party at the water park behind a local library. It was a  transformer themed event and coupled (although we had no idea until  arriving that morning) with a local tv stations fun festival, where all  the rides were free. Wow! Joshua is gonna be my only kid who had rides  and a rock wall at his birthday. Here are some pictures and videos of  the fun.

I took some picture of the kids of the kids, and my nephews in the park. I am loving my new camera tripod Jay got me for Christmas. These pictures were taken back in March. I love them!
