Getting it all together...soon I promise!

Life is crazy and I am swept up in it. I am dealing, but I've had to let as few things go. Posting pictures and whatnot to the b log is one of those things. But I am close to surfacing from the depths of craziness. In just a few short weeks we should be in our own house, the kids in one school, and I will have all my own stuff again. So look back here in October for all the posts you've been waiting for.

I'm not perfect either....though I know you are surprised by this right?!

Okay this one is for Ruth. She claims she is not perfect, read here,http://liddell6.blogspot.com/2010/09/im-not-perfect.html . Really Ruth? I think you are pretty perfect the way you are. The perfect fun mom, the perfect wife for Joe, the most perfect friend (see, I cry just thinking how awesome you are!), the picture (PINK)  of perfection, even with all your faults. So to let you know that just like misery loves company here are a list of things that make me just as perfect as you! (I will sum up some of my best qualities and only list 7...wouldn't want to be accused of bragging or one-upping.)

1. As Ruth discussed her hairy Cindy Crawford mole, I should discuss my service in the march against facial hair. Like the war on drugs, no one will actually discuss how futile this war has become as each year passes on with no success. There is too much money invested in the hair removal products, which I secretly believe just makes the situation worse, but I keep buying to avoid becoming the bearded lady. Why do we do this to ourselves. A huge portion of my mind just says go natural, but then there is the paranoid portion of my brain which succumbs to the societal norms by the use of fear and media presuring. Amazingly this little perfection of mine has improved my hand eye coordination. I can pluck all my chin hairs (and there are many) before the light changes to green. I am awaiting my Bearded Lady accomodation medal.

2. I secretly hate going to church. Yes I love God, Jesus, my religion, the people at church. I love it! What I hate is having to wear the church clothes. The having to get cleaned up, styled, made-up. I hate the shoes and their heels and pinching toes. I HATE PANTYHOSE! I hate having to shave my legs to wear the pantyhose (see number 3). If it was acceptable to show up to church in jeans, a t-shirt, tennis shoes...I'd love it. It would be like college classes. But no! There is this requirement to look your best to have the spirit dwell in the meetings, to show our best for God, to set Sunday apart from the other days. I will just say this, does anyone else see the irony here?

3. Shaving my legs.....most days I don't. I dread swimsuit season not because I've gained weight, but because it means I have to shave more. I am embarassed to say the reason my kids don't get to swim as much as they want to in the summer is because I hate to shave my legs. I will suffer in sweaty pants all summer long to avoid shaving my legs rather than wear shorts. In the winter, I think Sunday may be the only day I shave my legs.

4. Bread obbsession.....I would really benefit from a low carb diet, but I can't give up the bread. There is a reason grains are at the bottom of the pyramind...and it maybe the reason I am shaped like a pryamid. But it's not just any bread that I love to snack on. There are breads for all occassions. For everyday there is honey wheat slices. Slowly and skillfully peel of the crust and eat it first. Then artfully smoosh the remaining goodness into a tightly packed ball. Take your first bite while gleefully enjoying the crescent bite mark. Take a big sip of milk and finish off the ball. Repeat with second slice, maybe a third if you promise not to eat anything else before dinner. Finish all the milk. Dairy and grains, it does the body good, right?! For special occasions Kings Hawaiin will suffice when you don't have access to a resturaunt that makes those yummy yeast temptations. Better than doughnuts, yeast rolls are the epitome of perfection. These must be eaten slowly and suptuously with the meal, and then two or three more for dessert. I may have to pause here and make a run to the store.

5. As far housework and my "job" as a stay at home mom is concerned, I have a motley of obsessions and things I am willing to ignore. I manage to get the laundry washed, dried, and folded...but my desire runs out there. I make my husband and children put away the laundry...elsewise it sits on the couch until company is coming over when I hastely place it ontop of my bed, my last subtle hint to my husband that it needs putting away. Why oh why can I not get it put in drawers on regular occasions is beyond me.

6. I go through these hobby crazes, often times signing up to sell whatever the craze is at the time. Pampered Chef, seriously thought about Mary Kay, Close to My Heart and Stamping Up are examples of the crazes I've sold. But there are other hobbies like jewlery making, sewing, knitting, etc. where I get absorbed, spend mucho dinero, and then put them aside when bored. My poor husband is always behind in my crazes and tends to buy things for the hobbies I've tired of. Poor man, I don't know how he loves me with all my perfections.

7. So listen okay......This is a phrase my husband loves to laugh about. If I ever say this to you, it generally means you are on my, "I wish I didn't have to talk to you right now" list, so I am only gonna say this once and you better comply. My ex gets this a lot. My teenage son is only begining to cringe at the sound of the "so listen."

Well there it is. I know you guys will read this and smile, nod occasionally, because I know you love this about me. It's some of what makes me the most perfect Missy you all know.
