At the beginning of our vacation this summer our family took a trip to Nauvoo Illinois to enjoy the historic area surrounding the Nauvoo temple. We had a blast and learned much about the early latter day saints and how life was lived in that time era by all. We loved the shows and played hard. Below are some pictures for y'all to see.

I love to have pictures of my family in front of the temple, even if it isn't "our" temple.
On a wagon ride through Nauvoo. The temple sits on a hill facing the river.
Another class we attended...this one is on baking bread.
The kids loved the children's center here in Nauvoo. Beth dressed up and played in pioneer wear despite the hot humid day. She was quite cute.

Jay has a picture of him when he was about this age, doing the exact same pose.

There were so many trees and green lush grass and flowers to enjoy. Here is one of my favorites.
At the end of the trip we went to the store on the other side of the village and got root beers. Beth was tired of walking by the end of the day.
